What we do

Our core business revolves around three main areas: land acquisition, planning and development.

Land Acquisition

We purchase land with or without planning permission.

We purchase land with or without planning permission and can be creative and considerate in our approach to land owners, helping them to maximise their sale price. We will consider brown or green field sites for new builds, and existing structures for conversion. We are currently seeking new sites and offer introductory fees.

Planning

We gain planning permission through good design and understanding local housing needs.

Never apply logic when it comes to planning! While there are many national and local guidelines to help aid with the planning of residential homes, it requires a team of experts with the right knowledge, experience, creativity and personality to drive the process through. By coordinating and directing the best in their field, we deliver the most appropriate housing schemes in order to increase the chance of success.

Development

We convert existing buildings or build new homes.

When it comes to developing and building, we consider the location and its surroundings to provide the right development for the local market. We owe it to future generations to design new developments which:
• reduce waste
• reduce flood risk
• reduce pollution
• minimise energy requirements
• use local and renewable energy sources
We aim for sustainable design and construction wherever possible.

Projects

Our focus is on new build, commercial conversions and residential refurbishment and conversion projects. With over 18 years of experience in the residential market and more than 50 projects completed, we have selected a sample of projects as examples of our work to date.

THE PROFESSIONAL TEAM

IDG draws upon the expertise of a number of professionals and has a team of highly experienced project managers. We use specialised contractors and an industry-specific legal team. This allows us to match the best skillsets to each development, while negotiating the right price and terms. Unlike many other house builders and developers, IDG does not employ a large in-house team which significantly reduces overheads. We remain efficient and nimble, and able to maximise return-on-investment for our joint venture partners and funders.
